PEI PNP Draw June 2026: Prince Edward Island Issues 182 Invitations in Its Largest Draw of the Year

Prince Edward Island held its sixth Provincial Nominee Program (PEI PNP) draw of 2026 on June 18, 2026, issuing 182 Invitations to Apply (ITAs) through the Labour Impact and PEI Express Entry streams. It is the largest PEI draw of the year so far, up from 114 in May, and brings PEI’s 2026 year-to-date total to 658 invitations across six draws.

As in every 2026 PEI draw, invitations targeted candidates working in PEI occupations and priority sectors with high economic impact, and the province again prioritized international graduates of the University of Prince Edward Island (UPEI), Holland College, and Collège de l’Île.

Priority Sectors

PEI continues to focus on candidates already embedded in its labour market, in sectors facing shortages:

  • Healthcare
  • Skilled trades
  • Manufacturing
  • Other industries with documented labour shortages and high economic impact

Note: PEI does not publish the EOI score threshold for each draw, so there is no way to confirm in advance whether your profile clears the cut-off. Strong PEI employment plus graduation from one of the three priority institutions consistently scores favourably.

Important: The Application Window Is Now 30 Days

Candidates who receive a PEI PNP invitation have 30 calendar days to submit a complete application for provincial nomination — a reduction from the prior 60-day window and shorter than the 60-day federal Express Entry ITA window. The 30-day window is firm; missing it means re-entering the EOI pool and waiting for a future draw.

Because PEI publishes its draw calendar in advance, the best preparation is to assemble documents before you are invited. Have ready:

  • An employer letter confirming your position, duties, hours, salary, and start date (typically the slowest document to obtain)
  • Valid immigration status documentation (work permit, PGWP, or other authorization)
  • Proof of PEI residence and employment (lease, utility bills, pay stubs, ROE if applicable)
  • Language test results and education/credential documents

How a PEI Nomination Connects to Express Entry

A nomination through the PEI Express Entry stream adds 600 CRS points to your federal profile, effectively guaranteeing an Invitation to Apply in a subsequent PNP-specific Express Entry draw. After a federal ITA, you have 60 days to submit your PR application to IRCC, with a target processing time of about six months for a complete application.

For how enhanced (Express Entry-linked) and base nominations differ, see our PNP eligibility criteria and Provincial Nomination Program pages.

What Candidates Should Do Now

  • If you were invited on June 18: start your 30-day application immediately — prioritize the employer letter and status documents.
  • If you were not invited: do not withdraw your EOI profile. Keep it active and accurate; the next draw is tentatively July 16, 2026.
  • If you are not yet in the pool: submit an EOI as soon as possible — PEI assesses profiles continuously, so earlier submission means more time in the pool before the next draw.
  • Optimize your profile (language, PEI employment alignment, education) with a licensed RCIC consultant to maximize your EOI score.
